On 21^st July 2012 the 16^th mountain race of Steinach will take place with already known route direction. The very attractive route should not only appeal to racers, but also to hobby bikers. With wonderful views into the Kinzig and the Harmersbach valley, as well as on Geroldseck and the Vosges.  

Route:

From Steinach over Webers-Kreuz (goal pupils), Nil, Schwarzenbach-Sattel, to Brandenkopf
14 km    750 hm                             pupils 4,5 km    275 hm

Novelty:
Race for beginners without time measurement 9,5 km 580 altitude difference from Steinach to Nil. Start will take place with the main group. Only a running-in list will be made when finishing. 

Time limit Nil: from 4 p.m. the route to Brandenkopf will be closed and it will only be possible to finish Nil on the beginners' route without time measurement according to running-in list.

Online pre-registration is running until 19^th July 2012 at www.wurzelhopser.de.

Later registration is possible in clubhouse SV-Steinach until 30 minutes before the start.

Starting fee:

pupils  € 6    adults € 12 
 

Finisher's present:

Everyone who finishes will get a finisher's present at the place, where the starting numbers are returned. 

Prizes:

The individual groups of the main race will be evaluated from 5 participants per group. 

The first 3 of each group receive trophies, the first 5 of each group receive certificates.

All pupils receive a certificate.

How to get there:                               

From motorway A5 exit Offenburg B33a, B3, B33 towards Donaueschingen over Gengenbach and Biberach to Steinach (23,5 km).
From motorway A5 exit Freiburg Nord over B3, B294, B33 over Waldkirch, Elzach, Haslach to Steinach (48,6 km).
From motorway A81 exit Rottweil on B462 over Schramberg, B2 Wolfach, Hausach, Haslach, B33 to Steinach (65,7 km). 

Terms of participation:

Only participants without license and with a fully working MTB are permitted. Wearing a helmet is duty!!!
Participation on your own risk. The participants renounce of all legal rights, also of third persons, to the organiser and acknowledge with their signature, that they are healthy and trained.
On the route may only be driven on the day of racing, otherwise § 37 of the law for protection of nature is valid.
